As I turn the page and become another year older this month, it is clear to my heart that instead of beginning a new chapter of my life - it is actually a new volume. This season for me requires a complete other book, another version, a different part of the whole. Chapters are collections of the same story as that of an episode, but a Volume sums up many chapters that contains lessons or topics. My Volume 1 was quite the adventure; from birth to the present and complete with many lessons. It was full of ups and downs... as life is: growth & success, and loss & pain. I am grateful for Volume 1 and for all of the people in it, and I hold onto it respectfully with love and memories.
The reason I feel the pull for a Volume 2 is that this past year, I have taken personal time to search deeply and honestly into absolutely everything and my purpose. I see a different part of me, another version... a breakthrough. The work that I have been doing has been difficult, but I am thankful for this clarity and new journey. Do you have Volumes in your life story? My Volume 2 has started with going back to studies to become an Art Therapist. Art is like meditation for me, and it is very healing in a natural, beautiful way. My dream is empower others to find this spirit inside of them to discover understanding through a natural way of creativity and inspiration. I want others to feel valued, loved and appreciated. Through this, growth happens and new doors open.
I have a lot of work to do, but I am dedicated and excited. I am still working on paintings and art projects, and spending time outdoors where I am most inspired. I am currently working on a large landscape painting, and Erich is creating the wooden frame for it. I can't wait to share with you the final piece. It is a painting of a very special place to a friend of mine, and it is very special to me.
